THURSDAY, MARCH 12 — Surrounded by her proud family, teammates, coaches, and teachers, Everett High School senior standout Carolann Cardinale signed a letter of intent to compete at the Division 1 level in track and field at the University of Massachusetts on Wednesday morning inside the Crimson Cafe. Superintendent Priya Tahiliani, School Committee member Millie Cardello, EHS Principal Erick Naumann, Assistant Principals Chris Barrett and Dr. Omar Easy, Athletic Director Tammy Turner, and coaches Jehu Cimea and DeAnn Gallager were on hand to share this unforgettable moment with Cardinale and her parents, Larry and Michelle, and brothers, Jason and Ryan. A video tribute featuring some of Cardinale's many athletic highlights was prepared by Joshua DelGaizo and William Meunier of the EHS-TV Studio. Cardinale is a three-sport star for the Crimson Tide, excelling in soccer and basketball as well as track. Her specialty is the javelin, an event in which she holds a host of EHS records.
